Sissy Bar Removal-'14 1300 Tourer

Not being too mechanical, I'm asking for advice.
I want to turn my 2014 1300 Tourer into a solo ride.

It appears all I have to do is remove the bags, the bag mounts, pull the fender rail bolts, remove the sissy bar, and reassamble.

Is it that easy, or am I missing something?

Thanks,

Arby

Yamaha cruisers are specifically designed to be easy to modify with Yamaha or after market add-on parts and equipment.

Taking them off is just as easy.

BTW, my VS 650 cruiser is stock, except for a small back rest to lean into on longer rides.

Thanks for your responses.

The dealer was telling me I had to buy new fender rails & bag mounts.

new bag mounts? are you keeping the bags or taking them off?

The chrome fender rails are actually the thing that holds the fenders in place, kinda like a sub frame. If the sissy bar is all one piece with the fender rails then you might need to get the stock ones.

I guess I wasn't to clear.posting @ 2 AM.

I want to keep the bags, get rid of the sissy bar.
I'll either put a solo rack or fender protector (Can't think of the correct name),
on the fender.

I'll have to take a closer look.
The s-b frame appeard to go between the fender rail & the fender, but I may be wrong.
