Papa D,

Pacific Coast has several you can use for a reference.

D & D has a slip on that claimes some HP increase with no other mods. Try clicking on the dyno chart.

I hear a lot about Vance & Hines lately.

The D&D keeps the Ex-Up valve.

I just installed the D&D slip-on. I got exactly what I wanted...a little more aggressive sound without being obnoxious and a noticeable difference in the throttle. Glad I went this route. I also have the Cobra EFI fuel pack and a K&N air filter...three of the best things I could have done for my bike. I'm a happy customer.

But....if I had to complain about something, one of the bolt holes on the D&D muffler had some excess chrome on the beggining of the threads. I couldn't get the bolt to start. Took some slow and tedious work with a thread chaser to finally get it cleared. No, I didn't contact D&D or anything. They probably would have told me to send it back and I'm way to impatient for that. It was probably an isolated incident and I'd still reccommend them. Good luck!

Sorry to hear you had a bit of trouble with the D&D bolt holes, but I'm glad to hear you got it fixed.

I would still contact D&D and let them know about your experience, that way they can be sure that clearing the threads is part of their finishing process before the exhaust goes out the door. That way some other fellow 'Liner rider doesn't have the same issue.

RedRoadie....I thought about it and you're probably right. I sent a note through channels that I hope will get back to D&D and described my problem to them. I'm a fairly good wrench and can do a lot of my own work but realize that may not be the case for every rider. Still, it was probably an isolated incedent and I would not hesitate to recomend D&D slip-ons to anybody. Overall, I've had better customer service when it comes to bike parts than anything else. Fists in the wind !!!!
