how bad will it scrape lowered?

i find myself shifting my balance now, to stop the scraping.

my local parts manager said the 1300 kit is the same,

it's $87 from the dealer,

or $45 shipped on ebay.

should be here soon.

it's NOT

the three holes in the one i bought,
one is stock (matches OEM strap)

other two are barely more than stock,

but the fartherest hole lowers it a good bit, so YMMV.

it drags the hard mounts for the floorboards now, not just the floorboards,

and the tip of the muffler.

i am pushing 240lbs, though, so if you need it lowered, you prolly don't weigh as much as me, so it won't squat.

and you won't ride as aggressive as me, if you are smaller & less confident.

it's FUN

I used some 2003 v star 1100 lowering arms that my boss gave me, man, they worked great. they lowered the rear like 1 1/2 inches and didn't stiffen the bike up to much. I was supprisingly happy with the results.

my wife is 5'0 and her legs must be shorter than regular people,

because this bike, lowered, is the first bike she has REALLY loved.

it's an awesome bike for her, and she loves the power of the 950.
