106 Deg today:mad:Baled hay Sunday... made 23 where I made 75 last year, Wont make a 2nd cutting later. Today I seen them(farmers) cutting corn for hay. No rain and the corn has had it. The last 2 mouths we were dodging storm's with little or no rain. I guess we will be dodging fires for the next few week. Boy's call up on all the deities you know for relief.

Prayers for rain and best wishes for you and other there in you situation Dan. We have just come out of a 10 year drought where many many farmers, both crop and livestock suffered. No one here wants to see it again.

Just goes to show how wrong people can be. Aussielad and Stratowart were saying just the other day that you'd never be able to make bail...
I hope the drought breaks for you Dan.:)

I feel your pain. Maybe about an inch and a half of rain since last November here in South Texas and I've already lost count of the number of triple digit days we've had so far this summer.

no way. i don't think it's been higher than 104 here in Austin so i don't know how it would be hotter several hundred miles up north.

Dan, my prayers go out to you and everyone in that situation my friend. Lived in AZ as a kid and I always looked at rain as an oddity...moved to MS and realized how much it is really needed. Some of the folks up here in Maryland have corn that they planted that is barely a foot tall, should be over three buy now.
