As a former pilot, I would just like to take a moment to send thoughts and prayers to the injured and the families and loved ones of the deceased as a result of the Mustang crash at the Reno Air Races.

I am quite sure that the pilot who augured in would have chosen no other kind of death than one that occurred doing what he loved, but I also know that he would have been absolutely horrified at the thought of taking so many people with him.

God rest their souls.....

Thanks Paddy we have been thinking about them since it happened. There was also another accident in West Virgina at an air show on Saturday.

My brother is in the process of getting his commercial license and my cousin has her own plane. Makes me worry about them as much as they worry about me riding!

Statistically, they have much more to worry about than you do.....

Very sad thing to have happen. Being stationed at a few of the Marine Corps Air Stations in my time I've seen a few accidents but fortunately there were no deaths. I hate that the accident was played over and over on the news stations. We were taking my son to eat at a fastfood place after his football game on Friday night and they actually played the crash 5 times in just a few minutes. That's not what those families need to see.

God bless the pilot, those who were lost, and the families of all of them.
