Being suddenly flush with cash after the sale of my V-Star 650, I was all set to go out and buy some nice aftermarket exhaust and accessories and ramp up the power on my 1100. Unfortunately, there are several new babies in my immediate vicinity and as many of you may know, there is nothing more vicious and terrifying than a new mother who has been prematurely awoken from her brief but much needed solace. Think hibernating grizzly.....

So with money burning a hole in my pocket, and being the kind, considerate sort, my first purchase was instead a Shoei Sever 2 helmet. The pictures don't do the graffics justice on this one, you need to see if for yourself. And just in time for Halloween!

Also bought a Ruger LCR .38 Special +P with Crimson Trace laser grip. I decided I needed a small conceal carry after that blackout a few weeks ago. I was carrying a Sig P239 around in a belly band holster and it was not a big secret. I could even put this around my ankle for a backup and carry my Kimber in a belt holster.

If anybody had one of these I'd like to know what you think. I've heard nothing but raves about them.....

Oh please! That's like giving your dog a treat when it craps on the carpet!

One does not ask his wife if he can have a gun, one informs his wife that he is buying a gun......

Hey Paddy how did that thinking work out for you? LOL just kidding just kidding! You could always let her watch the evening news and then explain the importance of you protecting your family.

Its kinda easy for me because I buy him the gun I want and say it is for him. Or I tell him I am feeling unsafe and need more protection.

Well, in my experience when a woman says she feels unsafe and needs more protection, it means she's horny. I guess your guy has gotten used to the disappointment by now. :-)

True, I am no longer married, but every time I encounter my ex, I thank God He got me out of that situation. What the hell could I have been thinking........?

Paddy but maybe I am weird. There is nothing sexier then gun powder and a 700 lb motorcycle between your legs. My boyfriend had nothing to complain about and is never disappointed. I do expect him to protect us since he is the man of course. However since we are not married he does not live with us so I need to protect myself and my son. So it is a good thing he thinks a girl who knows her way around firearms is sexy as hell.

I dont understand where you coming from on the ex thing since my ex and I are still very close. The poor guy got a bit of my Irish temper today I swear my eyes were neon green but then I came back to earth. It is a good thing he is Italian and has tough skin.

Finally got a chance to shoot this thing today and WOW......does it pack a punch!

The barrel is only 1 3/8" so it sprays all over the place, but you definitely do not want to get in the way of one.

I think my hand is in shock.....

I love it! I am so jelous I have not been to the range in about a month due to my sons activity schedule! I should have asked for a new pistol for christmas but instead I asked for passing lights. After our 22 hour ride and seeing how much those two extra little lights make you stand out during the day I wanted the extra safety. Maybe Santa can bring me one.

I know when I shoot my 357 apparently it is a little show. I dont notice it know but my hand used to get bruised.
