I am looking at buying a good detailed service book for a 1100 Classic. Anyone know where I can get this online?

I recommend www.amazon.com
I got my 650 Clymer manual brand new with free shipping for less than the eBay used manuals I tried to snipe on.

I've searched and searched for a V-star 950 service manual. So far, I've found them for the tourer model, but not the basic. Should I just buy the tourer model and not worry about all the extra information? I'm really interested in the electrical diagrams that a manual may include. If I could get those without a huge manual, that'd be fine too.

I am guessing the electrical would be the same. The tourer probablt has some different sheet metal, seat, etc.

i'd recommend going to a dealership and asking to look at the service manual if you think that will help your buying decision.

I ran across this:
http://www.paulmilner.com/yamaha/handbuch/1100servicemanual.pdf

Other than that I would say hanyes or clymer are your best shot.
