I have 2000 xvs 1100 vstar custom. i just got som saddle bag supports. any speciall suggestions to me as i plan to install this weekend, any special orientation requirements for mounting. my bike has a sissy bar seat and luggage carrier on back.
i also bought a seat pad for my stock seat, i guess i need to remove the passenger seat, then the driver seat , install the pad and reinstall the two seats, anybody have any suggestions from your experiences.

i successfully repaired one saddle bag usnig black heavy wide industrial tape on inside and special plastic glue on outside, let it dry and it is holding good. i had a big hole in the edg . i also installed saddlebag supports and bags, and a seat leather pad. all are working and add to the useabililty of the bike, a vstar 1100 custom.
