Hi.
I was reading on another site a while back about the gas cap screws on a Vstar 650 loosening over time from vibrations and falling into the tank. If you take the gas cap off you will see two screws on the bottom of the cap. I checked mine today and they were a bit loose, but not too bad, so I tightened them. Some people have had the screws vibrate loose and fall into their gas tank. People have also recommended to take each screw out and blue lock-tite and replace. Be sure to do one screw at a time or the cap will fall apart into pieces in your hand. Probably worth checking. :)
