Manual and basic tool kit (should come with the bike but on a lot of used bikes they are missing).

Insurance!

blast_tyrant: You may want to add a lenght of bailin wire to the list, rates right up there w/duct tape, cept a little tougher

Thanks for the heads up. I had never heard of baling wire before. Any interesting uses you've come across on a motorcycle?

Oh, and I forgot that I keep a few feet of paracord with me as well.
