Weight limit?

How many owner of 2006 1100 and me and my wife are little on the heavier side I was wondering how much weight is too much?

Following specifications of the bike, the Wet weight of the bike is 685 lbs. This means full of fuel, full oil, full brake fluid ready to ride. The Gross vehicle weight is 1076 lbs so that leaves 391lbs for rider and passenger. Now that is bike specifications. Also need to look at the tires. I am a big guy so I understand. I did 2 up with my wife on a 950t with no issues. I just set the rear shock to full tight.

Vstar 1100 owners manual states 441 pound pay load capacity. So Yamaha is saying 441 pounds is 100% safe as payload. Just do some quick math for 2 riders and any gear you have. Here is a copy of owner's manual. See page 61.
