Yeah, you have to be familiar with tuning forks to realize the connection.

Speaking of logos I was talking with an old-timer this past weekend and he told me about his old 60s Bridgestone 350 GTR that he really loved. I mentioned how the Japanese manufacturers really started making a name for themselves during that era he took offense that I would call, what he believed to be a British motorcycle, a Japanese bike... because the name and the logo didn't hint at anything remotely Japanese.

I always forget that Yamaha started as an organ company, until I look at the Yammy logo.

Very cool history on the Bridgestone Co.

I love my Yamaha Vstar 650

but I still took all the logos and labels off my 650 (see my garage photo)
except for the vstar logo on the running boards - embedded in the rubber foot pads.

I did too but my tank decals are clear coated on.
