I am here! Hear my horn!

Ask we all know. the stock horn on a motorcycle is mediocre at best. Usually, down right crappy! In a car, it can help startle a driver into realizing they are about to cause am accident. On a bike, it is a weak arse sound. Which is annoying and does very little to alert the driver that, you/I are there.

So... what aftermarket horns have any of you installed? How much a pain in the arse was it?

No matter what you ride. Just ride!

I have two after market horns that are basically the same horn. One is the Stebel nautilus mini in chrome. I purchased the separate wiring kit and it was a fairly simple install. The other is the Kuryakyn wolo horn kit with a chrome cover. It was a simple install but was pricy. Both horns are very loud. The Stebel was purchased in 07 and is still going strong. The Kuryakyn was purchased in 14 and and works perfectly as well.
You can find the Kuryakyn on Amazon for about $20 cheaper.

I have heard of people putting big truck horns on their motorcycles, and people look around for the truck, and dont see any trucks, and still hit the motorcycle.

Something to be aware of. Humans have very fast pattern recognition, and most people dont know what a motorcycle horn "sounds like".

From my own experience to avoid an accident Im on the brakes or steering my way out. By the time I decide to blow my horn at someone the danger is already over.

Keep in mind also, Deaf people are allowed to drive, engage in the evasive manuvers first, then the audio exchange.

I fully understand what you are saying, KCW. I am just looking as this is another tool in my toolbox to help me arrive at my destination or home safe as possible.
