I bought a '69 Cougar in Florida in 1977, Windsor V8.
It needed that unibody brace you have across your shock towers, but those were not a common aftermarket item back then. I would have to take it to a body shop, get the shock towers bent back out to where they were suppose to be, and then have a cross brace custom fabricated.
I sold that Cougar for $400 - it was fun while it lasted. well... except for the 3 rear leaf spring assemblies that snapped in half.
