2007 Roadstar Back Rest ideas

Hey all.
I'm looking for some ideas. I have the passenger seat pulled and a chrome luggage rack there instead. However we kept the sissy bar on because I don't think the brackets look right with nothing attached. We took the sissy bar pad off, which leaves an open bolt hole. Right now, it just doesn't have a finished look, and I'm looking for ideas. I would love to be able to have some sort of driver backrest wihout buying a new seat that needs to be permanently installed. I love the quick release option of the original seat. Any thoughts? Maybe a roll bag or something to fit in front of the sissy bar that I can also lean against while riding?

Kuryakyn use to make a bag called the tombstone. It attaches to the sissy bar lengthwise and the side closest to you is a backrest pad. I have one that I use at times and it rests on the passenger seat, but I'm sure it would rest fine on the luggage rack. Just one possible option for you. You can still find them around on eBay. Here's one below.
