2019 Yamaha Tracer 900GT New model (USA)

an 850cc 3 cylinder inline, liquid cooling "sport touring" midsized bike

Looks interesting. Quite a bit less expensive then the FJR1300.

I'd rather not have a chain, but other than that could be a nice bike for long rides.

I think it's interesting that Canada gets the Vstar 650. Still no cruiser other than 250 and Bolt for the USA. It seems that cruisers are all I see on the road, maybe market is saturated.

I have heard the HD was selling bikes at a discount for a while, to the point where "everyone who wants a harley has one"

and that really pushed down the resale price on used harleys.

Now that I have my dream bike, Everything seems to big or to small. A friend of mine has a Victory CrossCountry and a Sporty for around town. I wouldn't mined a Zero to run around town. But I'm in an apartment so it's not feasible

Riding is not just what I do but who I am.

Me either. Laughable they call those bikes cruisers. I see a Suzuki in my future which is too bad, Yamaha makes a great bike. Just not for me anymore I guess. Would it kill them to throw the 1300 or 950 back in the line up so people have an option to the high priced touring models they've brought out? Eluder is definitely out of my price range.

an electric bike has its appeal for a commuter bike
but I cant justify the expense.

I keep seeing bikes on craigslist that I would love to have for a 2nd commuter bike. Bikes like a 80s yamaha 650/2 or 650/4. The 750/3s pop up every few months.

When I see one with less than 10,000 miles being sold for $800 to $1500 Im really temped to grab one

but I wouldnt save any money by riding a 2nd bike for a commuter compared to just riding my vstar 650.

Im holding out for a bigger bike... maybe next summer: Road star, Road liner, Royal star, maybe a Vstar 1300

it all depends on what I can get a good deal on.

Whenever Im temped to buy another smaller bike, I ask myself: Self, if you could only buy one more motorcycle, is this the one you would want?
