Most monthly miles

I've got an idea, yeah I know, that's dangerous. How about a monthly mileage contest? Some forums do a yearly contest but we have members who have limited ride time due to location. If we do it monthly a lot of people will have the opportunity to participate. It would be simple, post a picture of you odometer at the beginning of the month, then one at the end. I can see the SVTC guys jumping all over this. But there are many here who post about their long weekend trips and it all adds up. If you have have more than one bike they both would count, just have to submit photos of odometer for each bike. This is to see who puts the most 2 wheel mileage in any given month. Is there enough interest out there? I'll volunteer to track mileage. Even if you don't think you will participate leave a comment if it's something you would like to read about. We could start January 1. So, what do y'all think?

Yes, that's why I want to do it monthly and not just miles for the year. We would have a monthly winner and maybe one for the whole year.

the grey hairs will be winning every month I bet.

I'd like to see this, but won't likely be participating since I'm guaranteed to be near the bottom. I don't have near as much time to ride as I'd like due to family obligations.

Well I fit the gray hair, oh wait it fell out. See us gray hairs need to rest between rides, 😁, the younger ones out there don't. I work 5 days a week, 50 hours, plus about 10 hours a week commute time, so I don't get to ride all the time either like I want too. But if most would join in I think it would be interresting.

Cash prize yet to be determined, but not a problem. I printed some extra the other day in anticipation of participation.

I'll throw my hat in, although I won't have a chance against some of the retired touring people. But the riding club I joined wants to tour the province and visit all 58 covered bridges next summer, plus we're planning a trip around the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia. If I can manage to somehow squeeze all that into my hectic work schedule, I should be able to get some respectable numbers. And even if that doesn't work out, it would still be interesting to read and see how many miles each of us does in a month.
