Not recommended. There are standard formats and expectations in movie scripts and plots, most are either a tragedy or a comedy (depending on whether the main character dies or lives at the end).

Easy Rider is Peter Fonda giving everyone the finger for watching his movie. Its just effed up. If I want to spend 2 hours getting depressed, I go visit my inlaws :^)

Better movies from the period:

On Any Sunday (amateur motorcycle racing in the 60s and 70s). "and here comes Malcom..."

Vanishing Point

Woodstock

edited: had the first movie name wrong, corrected and added link for IMDB

We watch it every four or five years it is a social thing. Had it on VHS and DVD really like the movie. Having had a couple of experiences like there were in the movie it kind of resonates.

Riding is not just what I do but who I am.

It was funny and shocking when I was 15. The next time I saw it was a few years ago on tv and couldn't sit through it. IMHO Fonda is as big a **** as his sister. Jack Nicholson's little part held up pretty well though.
I won't be watching it a third time.

"Then Came Bronson" re-runs on anywhere? That would be interesting to check out.

Found this interesting short clip if you like Eastwood and Triumphs, which I do:

Time flies like an arrow.
Fruit flies like a banana.

I remember watching it once. Maybe so I could say I watched it. No real impression, donít remember much, seemed a mess of a story. But I absolutely LOVE the Captain America bike. Iím a 70ís kid, Bicentennial, 1976, Evel Knievel, Red White and Blue! Stars and Stripes and the Star spangled banner still get me.

Preacher15 has hit the nail on the head! The only thing is is that I'd add "White Line Fever" to that 70's list!

I like the movie. I am in my 70's so the era that the film represents, the music in the film, some of the people in the film....all ring a bell for me. There were a bunch of biker films in the late 60's and early 70's. I even saw one while on LSD. It felt like it lasted at least a week. I think the words "Hells Angels" were in the title. I saw it in 1969....I was riding a Triumph in those days.
