Blue pipes

More than likely, IMHO, they can't be polished up, I feel you are runnin lean, causing excess heat, may be way off here. There is lots of heat runnin stock, but won't blue your pipes, lean will. I feel if you did not re-jet with your new pipes that is the problem, just my thoughts. Ride safe.

Jetting

Jabo,

Don't know but this might shed some light,

Probably not the case but avoid lond periods of idling, maybe long periods of full throttle. Most likely it is as Sugar bear said.

Called around today and talked to a few service centers. They also said the same thing about runnin lean. Ok , so I ordered a Cobra jet kit and a couple new spark plugs. This thing is gonna get the carbs cleaned and rejetted before I twist the throttle.
Thanks,
