Cutting fenders?

Hey,

Has anybody cut there fenders? Is it risky? How hard is the touch up?

Hey mac, cut the rear fender down on my virago bobber project. Wasn't difficult. Measured twice, cut once. I'm about to start sanding it down for paint. I used my grinder with a cutting wheel from harbor frieghts. Makes a great looking sparks show.

I was debating on doing it on my 98 vstar 650 classic. But I wanted to keep my pass seat/bags sooooo dont think its gonna look too good though lol.

You're probably right. Maybe you can pick up a "cheap" bobber project and make it just like you want it.

Yeah I've decided I won't do any cutting... I don't wanna ruin anything, particularly the new paint work...
I'll just leave her how she is for now, was always going to be a bike I only keep for a year or 2 anyway, till I can put more money and time into another project in a couple of years
