Seat question

What's up y'all so my question is iv got a brother i ride with that does motorcycle seats from pan to stitching. Just wondering what padding to use. was thinking a gel insert or memory foam what are the good and bad of both.

I hope ya get lots of answers cause I will be following this thread. Wanna do the seat mod thing myself, just not sure what to go with as well. Would like to find an old seat pan to work with though instead of destroyin the seat I have.

I have a gel pad surrounded my memory foam covered in black alligator skin using the stock pan. I like it, very comfortable.

Thank you dj how is sweating on the tail end with the gel or i guess how well does it breath

Yea, I like the Alligator skin as well. That's what I was thinkin about using. Did you do yer own seat? Any pics?
