carb syncing

any ideas why carburetors would need syncing after adjusting and rejetting i can't see how the position of the butterflies would change after changing jets, in the old days we would get the butterflies or slides even by using the same size drill bit under the slides or between the butterflies and venturi. how would installing different jets change the vacuum signal on either carburetor when your using the same size jet on both carburetors. i could see a change occurring if you use two different size jets, like sometimes people will use 112.5 on the rear carb and a 115 on the front and that may change the vacuum signal.i just cant see how a jet change could upset the balance

dumb bikers don't get to be old bikers
