Who uses a camera on road trips? What do you use? Do you recommend it and why? I currently have a Contour GPS.

I have a GoPro and use quite a bit. I have a mount on the highway bar that I primarily use, another on an old helmet for those nice head shots and a suction cup mount that I put on the windshield or speedo glass. Works fine for what I do with it.

I have been using the awesome SJCAM "SJ4000" camera on my bike for the past two summers and just love it. It is very inexpensive, (less than $100) and the quality is great. It's a quality knockoff of a GoPro, for a fraction the money. But beware, as there are many knockoffs of this knockoff, so you need to ensure you are getting a genuine SJ4000.

This is how I mount it to my handlebars of my Honda CB500FA, but it mounts just as easily on my new V-Star. The bracket was just a couple bucks on EBay.

Nope, I am very happy with the video quality of this cam... and I am admittedly quite picky!

i have some older gopro cameras that i've mounted in several different areas on my bike. i usually have 2 recording at once because it makes for some good edited shots later. here's an example below, and shows how well they hold up in different kinds of weather.

mikearc095 and mikearc095 like this.
