Aftermarket seat recommendations?

Just seeing what everyone uses, looking for distance riding more then around town. Not concerned with looks as much as long distance comfort. If I am missing a key player let me know please.

I have a stock seat on my vstar 1100 but this year I got a Propad gel pad to go on top...Picked it up at the annual bike rally here for $100. It doubled my riding distance before my ass gets sore.

Bought my 950t with a mustang seat and added a gel pad for longer distance riding. Works great.

I put a gel pad in my stock seat on the 950T. Bought a Corbin seat for my Sportster years ago and didn't like it at all. Wasn't going to get burned for the big dollars again to get a custom seat. The gel works great and in addition to that I added a slim propad style cushion to the seat for longer rides. The pad allows air to flow between your butt and the seat so you don't get sweaty numb bum. Works great and I can ride all day at half the price of a custom seat.

I have the Mustang seat with driver backrest on my 950T. Then I added a gel pad under the seat cover so it cannot be seen.

I use the ultimate seat with back rest for long hauls. It's the only seat I can ride on comfortably all day and on multiple day trips. They have a 14 day return policy if you don't like it for any reason.

The only two topics that will generate more opinions than seats are 1)What brand/kind of oil do you use? and 2) What tire do you recommend? Seriously though, the best seat for you is the one YOU find most comfortable. Personlly, I found the Mustang seat very comfortable for ME. Others do not like it. If you can, try to sit on some bikes (of friends) who have different after market seats and find the one that fits you best. It's been reported that the Mustang seat will put you about one inch higher and one inch closer to the bars. I found this to be true. Good luck in your hunt.

I had a Mustang seat on my vstar 1100 classic an d I loved it so much I ordered one for my Roadstar the day I bought it. I have a bulged disk and I've ridden several interstate trips on my Roady. I can't recommend the mustang seat highly enough.
