A funny thing happened....

Just a couple of hours ago, my better half and I were at the Vets for our Maltese's annual checkup. We were both wearing our bright red 'Yamaha Racing hoodies, not planned, but they're warm and it's cold here in the mountains.
The vet tech kept looking at our hoodies and asked me, 'are you a Yamaha rider or just like the hoodie'? Both and we own two Yammys and a Honda I replied. She had a huge grin on her face and proceeded to tell us she's a Vstar owner and loves her bike. She also said it's a 950, but not the tourer model. She then said her husband rides an HD and they have a huge rivalry between them. 'I love my Vstar she said, and I make fun of my husbands bike when we're at a stoplight because it vibrates so much'.(her comment, not mine).
I invited her to join our forum and she took down the needed info to join us. She said she's going to tell her other female bikers to check out our forum as well, and I sincerely hope they all do.I'm sharing this because I believe in our forum and it's members and the quality of our Yammys. Sometimes you never have to say a word!

Fantastic! Love it. Hope she joins the forum. -- And hey, we don't even "dog" on HD's here. No. We're too busy talking about our lovely V Stars. (Like they say, "It doesn't matter what you ride...", ..but I say V Stars are just SWEET!)

Seriously though. I'm sure there are women out there who have been riding, and love their bikes, and maybe don't find social forums. For me, at this point in my life, I really have freedom with MY free time. And I choose to love motorcycles, travel, and all that comes with it.

Learning how to wrench on a bike, that is just something that is just going to happen. I have enjoyed learning the basics, and hope to learn more. This forum has helped me, and I can't wait to learn and learn more.

Keep moving, learning, loving, and living.

Unlike some biker's forums I've been on, this forum is one that I would not be hesitant or afraid to invite women to join. The quality of the members and moderators is second to none.

Love it!

Also I was at the dealer on Saturday getting a tire changed for my FZ and took my 10 month son around the showroom looking at new bikes. The new Vulcans are very pretty. I also like the Bolt and did not realize it was air cooled, at least I did not see a radiator anywhere.....

The bolt is air cooled, I saw one at bike night up close shortly before we moved to East Tennessee. It's has a lot of similarities to our 950s, reportedly the engines are the same. The one on the 'All Girls Garage' episode looked pretty sharp after they did some upgrades.

I agree, might as well start them young, and I thought I was doing good getting my eight year old granddaughter interested in bikes, lol.
