Seats and shields

Since getting my Vstar I have done some research re: seats and windshields. On the bottom of my shield is a number, turns out I have a Memphis Fat, by going to their site I found the number and its for a 17". On the same page are three other sizes that use the same mounting holes, bingo, I now can replace my shield by giving the number listed to my local bike shop and it's cheaper thru the dealer than ebay.

Another site is Clearview Shields, they make replacement shields for Yamaha bikes that use the original brackets, prices are good too.

If you check with your local dealers and see who repairs/replaces their damaged seats, you might strike gold, I did. Seems a gentleman less than a mile from me sells replacement skins on ebay. I spoke to him and he will not only repad my seat to suit but will do it to my comfort level for about $100.00....

Tony, Im liking the senior seat expert idea.

Im definitely tearing into the stock seat on my VS650 this summer. Was inspired that I can do better than what it is by this website:
