To LED or not LED that is my question

Does anyone have experience with LEDs for tail / brake light use on the Royal stars?

No personal experience but I'd imagine that it would be brighter.

The royalstar, if I am not mistaken, has the same shape tail light of a vstar 1100 classic. On mine I have put an integrated led tail light. This handles running and brake light, as well as turn signals. I left on the stock turns as well. I also have a run turn brake kit as well that cause my brake light to flash. Very bright and attention getting.

No experience on the Royal Star, but this is how my 950t looks with LEDS and the triple whammy kit.

The only thing I have experienced with led lights is that the amperage on the blinkers may not be a heavy enough load to make the flasher work. If this happens thy make a ballast resistor to emulate the standard bulb. Hope this helps, and good luck!

I bought the led tail light about eight years ago and I love it. It's in my third Royal Star now and I'll never go back.
Luscious! and Luscious! like this.
