Strat longevity

Hi all,
Ran across a 2007 Strat fully blinged out for a great price. Only issue I have is it's a high miler with 62,000 miles on it. And of course it's 10 years old. So my questions are: How long does a Strat engine last? Am I looking for trouble down the road or do these engines last 100,000 miles. With no new Strats in the last 2 years is finding parts for this bike going to be an issue.

Really waffling on this bike. It's within my price range but maybe I should go newer and smaller like a 1300 VStar.

Opinions and experiences welcomed.

Hi bk, I was over at stratoliner deluxe where they were saying strats with proper maintenance last 100k. Reportedly one owner has over 145k on theirs. Hope this helps.

before you buy a used bike check your dealer for un-sold previous years.

My local dealer has a couple, a 950 and an 1100, a few years old, and I cannot believe how low the prices are.
