Advice

Looking at a 2008 Stratoliner S. 17,000 miles for 4500.00 Bike is in excellent shape and has luggage rack and lindy bar. During test ride it seemed that I would need pull back riser s the bike would fit me. Do cables need to be changed for that to be added to the bike. Risers would be about 3-4 high and 1 inch back.

I did pullbacks.....2-3" back and 1" up....helped my ride comfort quite a bit (I am 5'7").....did not need to change cables

I was finding it difficult with the OE bars and sitting all the way back in the seat. The pullbacks help...I also got the seat modified to fit me better Stinks being short sometimes :-)

If you're only going 3/4 to an inch you wouldn't need to change out your cables.

I have the barons risers and the Ultimate seats on mine. I'm 5'10" and this combo has set me just right. I wish the Ultimate seat would be a bit softer as I get a bit of numb bum after a few hours of riding. It is way better than the stocker but still not the most comfortable it cold be.

Before you spend money on risers, try loosening the stock mounts, and rolling the bars up a bit (lifting the grips so that the hand position is higher). This made a huge difference on my Boulevard.
