Stratoliner saddle bags stiching

I have a 07 stratoliner midnight I bought new in 09, it was my everyday ride for a few years and spent all day outside in the Charleston SC sun. Then from 2012-2016 I was going through cancer treatments and did not care for the bags like I shouldhav. Well the stitching along the top is splitting and the leather has shrunk causing the back corner to curl up. I have taken the bags to a saddle repair store and they tried but couldn't fix it. I love the way the bags look and don't want to change them cut I hate the way they look now, and its just the lids. I know I'm not the first to feel with this so if anyone has fixed this on their bike or if anyone has a idea on what to do, I'm all ears!

The only thing I can suggest is mink oil. I had some issues with the leather covered bags on my 950t. It sat under the rear porch, covered for part of the winter of 2017. Mink oil brought back the luster on them.
