Ok fellow Strat jockies, who is making the 113ci badges or lables or whatever they may be, I want some. I do get a chuckle everytime I see people stopping and looking at the bike, and making turns around it trying to figure it out !. And then when I tell them it's a 113ci or a 1.9 liter engine I get a bunch of Wows. All part of the fun with a Strat.
I'd like to have the 113ci on both sides of the engine.
What is it supposed to be our secret lol !, joking, this is the first bike I have ever owned that don't have very many brand or numbers onboard anywhere, I only have the one Yamaha sticker on the rear fender and it's not easy to see with my rack and lights.
The Y A M A H A was the second label to get removed from my Strato-S, the 1st one was the "fill this tank with gas" sticker near the gas cap. Those came off within 5 minutes after getting it home from the dealer.
Now missing is the Star emblem from the right side chrome cover and the Satr logo from just below the speedometer face. The only YAMAHA left now is the cam cover insert.
The dumb lables on the tank are gone, the rear fender is tough to see. In my case I think just having the number on the engine is going to be enough of a tease. still see the star's on the boards.
Thankfully the safety/lawyers didn't force the builders to put caution lables all over things. Think of a stanley ladder.
Ah yes, because now we live in a time where we need to read and be warned that our styrofoam coffee cup contains hot liquid. But I can tell you that the fender YAMAHA letters come of a million times easier than that tank label
i left my Yamaha letters on. proud to drive a Yamaha. I've owned 3 Yamaha ATV's and 3 motorcycles 2 - RD350's and my Strat. i also owned 2 Honda's a Big red 3 wheeler and a V45 Magna. they were both nice but my Yamaha's held up much better and the performance was always top notch.
