easy...just take the seat off, look at the base of the tank, see the two nickle/quarter sized caps with a smaller round stub on them...pull em off and viola behind them are the shutoff valves...screw them in with a flathead to shut them off.
Then you have to do the dauntless task of pulling them fuel lines off with those horribible squeeze clamps.....what a bitch to get them back on....oh and by the way you WILL need to remove that left side cover to do all this, the one with the seat removal key latch. you can leave it all attatched (linkage) just get a nice soft towel to wrap it in and just let it hang.
After you have done this twice you too will be a pro... I can get my tank off and plugs changed in about 30 minutes!
