Headlight Mod

I have been searching around and have been unsuccessful in finding info so I'm asking the good folks here. Has anyone installed a HID kit on their Liner? Or knows of a good how to write up? Any info would be helpful.

Man, I put an HID kit in my honda shadow 1100 that I had before my 'liner, and I gotta say it was not worth it at all, looking at the headlight, it looks much brighter, but it didn't illuminate the road even as well as the stock regular bulb. It made street signs reflect more, and blinded oncoming drivers, but that was about it... I'd be more inclined to put a higher wattage low beam bulb in rather than the HID mod. If you search I remember reading the science behind why the HID doesn't light up the road the same way as regular bulb, had something to do with the shape of the reflectors and the narrow arc that HID's make...

PL, I'm new to Strats, but had HID on recently sold Kaw Nomad. Loved it! Very bright.
Major difference in lighting up the road at night.

Problem I see installing one on Strat's is what you do what "all" the wires and hookups.
And believe me, the wiring harness will be a problem....but one that probably can be overcome.
Certainly no room in the headlight bucket....haven't researched room under tank, along wishbone, etc.
Hell, I just trying to find ideal spot to locate a fuse block and relays!
Not a lot of extra space....

You're close enough that we could get together and work on it...

I don't know why my experience was so bad with the HID. Maybe it had something to do with the headlight reflector design...?

I'm using the Sylvania Silverstar Ultra for low beam only and it is much brighter and lights up the road better. Got a pair for $35 on Amazon so I have a spare when needed.
