Quick Question Slotted Exhaust Tip Advice Needed

Hi,

I bought a Rush slipon and a tip that has open slots in it. I'm wondering if I should change the tip. I'm thinking that the exhaust will keep the tip black and I'll be constantly cleaning it. Anyone have any experience: http://tinyurl.com/87ew3eu

I've no experience with slotted tips "yet" but I do like the looks of them. One thing for sure tho is if they get sooted a lot then it might be a signal that your running a too rich a mixture. Are you going to run it with the slotted tips for awhile and find out for sure? I for one would like to know if it's a problem.

I have to agree, unless you bike is running rich, I doubt it will be a problem, and it would actually be a good indicator of motor/tune condition too. . . . soot sows up, something is wrong.

The slotted tip is on its way. I'll report back on any issues. I'm thinking that even if I have to wipe it down after every ride it won't be a deal breaker. Here is the one I ordered
