Power Commander Horsepower

Hi everyone, i was looking through some internet stuff and found some guys with power commanders were making about 10 more Hp than my basically stock bike. what i am interested in is the average horsepower that a guy can get by adding a power commander especial if it is dyno tuned in. so if you know your dyno results please post them here. i think everyone would like to see these numbers.

Basically none, the most HP increase comes with the BAK and stock exhaust, the after market ECMs mainly give you more RPM and not more HP.
Please do not take this wrong but there has been a whole lot of folks that have spent the money for after market ECMs and have not been happy.
I ran pipes, exhaust, cams, BAK on my 1100 and the stock ECM worked fine with the stock coils.

ECM in a 1100? Thought that was only a fuel injected thing?

ECMs have been used on all types of motor control since the early 80s, cars, motorcycle, lawnmowers, ect.

I was think more in line with stratoliners/roadliners. I know there a quite a few guys with dyno numbers. I have also heard rumors that Stratoliner's had more power than RL. Supposedly Yamaha knew the bike would be hauling more weight so they put a bigger cam in it to compensate for the windshield and full bags and passenger. maybe some dyno numbers would tell the tale. my run was 83 RwHp 114 RwTq. i was drinkin beer at the Broken Spoke saloon in Sturgis. For $50.00 buck's u could have it run on the dyno. I gotta say, it's pretty cool when your bike is up front and center on the dyno, in front of thousands of Harley people, bike is roaring like hell, scaring small children, and then she turns in dyno numbers that beat most hot Harley's. The crowd gets kind quiet real quick. Well, except for me of course, i'm yelling "Holy Crap, 114 Ft/Lbs of torque". lol

ECM & re-mapping are really only necessary if your boosting compression. I wish i would have spent the money on something else.

my 07 strat made 87.7 hp and 111.7 tq with V&H 2 into1 and PC III last year. I Should have taken off my buck lowers to insure maximum cooling during my final runs.
