New Baron risers on my Strat

After riding this new machine a little bit I was having trouble with the shoulders (three surgeries doesn't help) and looked into what could be done. I saw plenty of threads on here that talked about risers and Barons was mentioned the most, with the best reviews. Got them today and put them on today.
I did not have help, which would have been good but don't have any biking buddies in the area and all others were working. I strung a light rope through my ceiling rod rack which held up the bars.Removed all the stuff and started putting them on. Not really a big deal except positioning them in the right place without help and stretching the lines out there. Follow their directions and you should have no real trouble. As for the extra electrical lines take the top of the headlight off and simply pull them out!
Took it for a small test drive but I can see where these should work great. Will let you know when i put some more miles on it.
480 miles and I have adjusted the shifter and put on new risers. Have mirror risers ordered and on their way and will let you all know when I put them on.
This is almost as bad as having boats, break out another thousand!

WOW! You guys in VA must run way offshore! I can run around my part of Puget Sound and keep it under $25 bucks.

Well I was exaggerating a bit but I it depends on what your running I guess. I do know a couple guys that will easily kill $300 in a weekend. That's why I don't own one. I couldn't afford to feed it much less pay for it.
I much more prefer my 9.9 on my jon boat. I can fish for a month on $20.

I have two boats, one for the salt with a 115 and T8 Yami 4 strokes on it and a flat bottom jon with a 40 horse and a jet pump on it for running the rivers. Also a 4 stroke.
Went fishing for halibut all last weekend and cost us about $60 bucks.

Cool Barons risers

Corsair,

I have put some miles on the bike since putting on the risers and it is tons better I may eventually have to put some touring bars on it as I have had numerous surgeries and my shoulders really begin to bother me sometimes. If I had not done the risers I am sure that I would have already put those touring bars on.
For the price I think it is an easy upgrade. Read the instructions and you'll be fine.
I am now looking into a new sear,(Ultimate seat company) and will contemplate touring bars. Not sure but I would imagine that I would have to put new cables and lines on it if I go with the touring bars.

Long winter and too many things to do.

Thanks for the reply Mental. I'm going to change the grips first as my right hand goes numb after a while. Then I'll look into the risers. Like you said, long winter ahead and lots to do.

I have a nearly new set of those Baron risers for sale. They are 1" up and 2.25" back. I went back with the stock risers, and higher bars. Risers are perfect and I will sell for $175 shipped, to lower 48. Let me know if you are interested.
