yamaha speedstar exhaust install

Just picked up an 06 last weekend and excited about this Road King killer!!

Any tips on the Speedstar exhaust install. The dealer tried to tell me I could just bolt it up and go but from what I've read, I don't think it's going to run to well. What else will I need to do as far as EFI and air intake system???

Thanks for any feedback......

Some prefer to go with a slip on. So not to remove the Ex Up valve. I understand some low end torque will be lost if you eliminate the Ex-UP valve. I see though Yamaha says you gain with the speedstar exhaust. You should be good. I have only seen one bike with Speedstar it sounded good. When the guy got on it the bike really sounded off but was not to bad normal.

Not sure if the Speed star keeps the oxygen sensor. If it does I believe the fuel module will re adjust the fuel mixture. there are some after market modules that seem to work out well. I have been told an air filter, fuel module, and exhaust can gain 12 to 15 horsepower. Not that you need it.
