new pipes

i just bought the hk 3 inch big straights. what all parts besides the pipes am i gonna need to do the install. I'm hoping to get it up and going even though there is a foot of snow here right now. pipes should be here middle of this month. i would just like to make sure i can jump right on it instead of ordering more parts and waiting. thank you

You should purchase and install new exhaust gaskets with your new exhaust.

ask hard krome if the pipes ship with new head pipe gaskets so if they don't you can get some before the pipes arrive.

dumb bikers don't get to be old bikers

New gaskets, is a given, every time the pipes come off. Some say it's OK to reuse the gaskets, but you just asking for a leak.

thank you. i figured i should probably replace the gaskets. what about the exup valve. do i just disconnect it? or do i need a chip or something to tell the computer its not there?

Are you installing a complete exhaust system, or just a slip on muffler?? If a complete system, just unhook the EXUP valve cables,and disconnect the 02 sensor. If the new system has a bung for the 02 sensor, and it will fit, install it.

yes complete exhaust system. I'm guessing i will have to reset the computer. do i just disconnect the battery for a few then start it and not touch the throttle to reset. or is there a process that i don't know about. thank you
