Ape hangers /T handlebars can be used with stock lines

New to the forum. I'm looking to buy a 2007 roadliner this weekend. I'm wondering what size ape hangers /T handlebars would fit using the stock line brake clutch etc.. Sorry if asked before. Thanks in advance forum.

Thanks Tnker. So stock is 8 inches so I'm guessing 10 inch handlebars would be safe right. Thanks again.

If cost is your primary concern, I understand. If it's more the hassle thing, I would recommend you change out the cables (not that big a deal) and get the bars you want. If you're considering apes, I would recommend them. I ride a Roadstar, I'm 6' and went with 16" apes with stock riser height about 7-8 years ago and love them. I rode for years with wide beach type bars and love the ape hand/arm position.

Some guys go with the 10 inch "mini" apes to save the hassle. I would say 8 out of 10 switch to taller apes after a short time. If you have to lengthen the wires especially for running the wires through the bars (really cleans things up), it isn't that big a deal...it's just a bit tedious. Just my $.02. Good luck.
