Question I want to install a Tachometer

OK.. The stock Stratoliner tach location is really useless..

What is a good tachometer to install on the handlebar?
and... Where do the tach wires get connected to pickup the signal ?

Pictures if you got em would also be appreciated.. Thanx.

I put a Cobra on mine. They get signal from the coils. You can get power from the coils as well. I have a Raider but it should be the same.

The one I got is discontinued but they're still out there. It's 01-1750.

Ken,

I downloaded the instructions.. more stuff in the headlight...LOL.. 10 lbs in a 5 lb bag..

I like the fact the orange tach wire is accessible w/o removing tank..

I'm gonna do it.. thanx for the info & link.

the roadstar and the stratoliner have same diameter bars ?

I haver the deluxe firing on my strat so the tach would not be pointing straight at me..

My Raider has 1" bars. You can't use the instructions that come with the tach since the 1900 is not listed in the fitment.
