My experience has been if you only upgrade the system, you generally won't need a fuel processor. I didn't when I upgraded the exhaust on my 950t. When I went to an open air filter kit, definitely needed the fuel processor.
The biggest restriction on most bikes is the air intake system as come lean from the factory because or EPA regulations. The open air filter kit by far for me was the most noticeable performance improvement I made.

Super jealous! I'm dying for some freedom duals on my mine. Now I have always been a fan of Power Commanders, and don't know much about the Cobra FI2000 or other controllers. I used a Power Commander on my past FI bikes when I changed exhaust and it worked great. But I have not used on my bike yet.

So while this isn't helpful... I am waiting to hear from others with experience.

Oh and let's see pics of you bike with new pipes!
