emblems and stickers

has anyone taken the star emblems off your coil covers on a Raider? I know there are no holes in the cover, but wondering about adhesive coming off after you get the emblems off. I have had suggested to use waxed dentil floss to remove but wondering about leftover adhesive. Guess I'm a little paranoid. Any experience with this and the Yamaha sticker on the rear fender, would be greatly appreciated>

Thanks, Mak

Dental floss works, fishing line also. As for the adhesive, use I use brake cleaner. Takes everything off and leaves no residue. If your leary on using this, then you can use WD40. This works just as good but needs a little more elbow grease. The sticker on the rear fender can be removed by using a little heat from a hair dryer then just pull it off. Adhesive residue can be removed same as above. Just make sure the sticker isn't clear coated.
