pics of my raider with a 240 tire

Thought this thread might be helpful to those wanting to go 240 and need proof. I had an Avon Cobra 240/40/r18 tire installed on the rear of my raider yesterday . I will sau that people are correct. It handles just as good if not a little better with the 240. After gaining just under 4000 freaking miles on my metzeler 210 it was time for a change.

Right side clearance. As you can see it fits well with no scrubs. And has way deeper tread than the stinking ass metzeler 210 did.

That looks awesome! And the Avon 240 is amongst the highest rated tire for the Raider in terms of handling and lifespan.

It does handle very well. I will change the front tire too, most likely when this rear bites the dust. No sense in changing a good front. sure am ready to see it go though

How much space between the swingarm and the tire on both sides? How about the Belt guard? How much does it stick out past the edge of the rim? Did you measure the height?

No I didn't measure. Its a about a half inch from the swing arm. All I know is it fits like a glove and never scrapes or scrubs or rubs and handles good

That sounds very near stock clearances! I will give it a try myself! I get about 6500 miles on the Metz 210, I just installed the Exedra 210. The Bridgstone exedra has superior handling, the mileage is TBD. Thanks!

I think it's awesome looking. I wanted to see how much clearance there actually was before I thgt about swapping to a 240. I do believe I will be going to the Avon 240 for sure when it's time to. So my only other question is this, does it fit on the stock rim?
