Engine codes 19&39

I recently changed my ignition switch on 14 v star 950, when i turned the key on check engine light came on and code 39.cranks but wont start. Code is open FI but was never near them for this anyone have a suggestion. Thanks

Found this in an earlier thread from 2014:

Open injectors.

Checked the connections and sure enough one connection was loose.
Not sure how that happened. But fixed.

sometimes you get tugging on wires and a connector was not fully snapped into place

better that it happened while you were working on the bike than when you hit a bump in the road 200 miles from home

I was wondering how it could tell an injector was 'stuck open' - open circuit (unplugged) makes sense, easy to detect and flag a fault - good stuff.
