2001 Vstar 650 Custom sat for around a month. Now clutch won't disengage.

I'm in the process of moving so my bike sat for around a month. This Monday I took a very short ride and everything was fine. Today when I tried starting, I found the battery died. I chose to try and push start it and, to my surprise, the clutch won't disengage. The cable seems to be traveling enough and I adjusted it at the lever, still nothing. Any ideas?

It's just stuck....rock it back and forth for a bit and it'll break loose. When was your last oil change?

I tried rocking it a little. No luck. Last oil change was right before it sat for a month.

Well, it seems you were exactly right! I rocked it a bit more (quite vigorously I might add) and started it up. Slight jump forward when starting but after that everything went back to normal!

Thanks a lot!
