Tire question/concern

I bought a roadstar silverado from an individual who had just replaced the tires before I bought it. I noticed a couple of days ago that the front tire has "REAR USE ONLY " stamped on it & the rear tire has "FRONT use only " stamped on it. With this being said they ARE the correct sizes for the application. My question/concern is DOES IT MATTER? This is the first cruiser that I have owned. My previous bike was a KZ1000 back in the day

From what I understand, yes it matters. Have a look at this and it should provide some insight as to why they shouldn't be interchanged.

I don't know your bike but are the front and back the same size, if they are just get them switched back to right.[Mounter got it wrong]

THe front and rear are different sizes on my raodstar. I am thinking that the shop that installed them had these sizes for different bikes and just grab them without looking at the specific tire (i.e. got the correct size 130/90-16 & 150/80-16 but grab the 130/90 that is used as a rear tire )
