950 rear tire removal

Gotta change the rear tire on my 950(T).
I've been riding and wrenching on bikes for decades, but this is my first cruiser (it's stupid easy to change oil on a bike that doesn't have body work or exhaust under the engine!).
Am I correct that I'll have to remove the rear fender?
The Clymers manual doesn't mention the fender at all - I guess it assumes the bike will be on a lift, which I don't have. I'll be using a 2x6 bolted to my floor jack.

i don't think you have to remove the fender. but if you do, it's really simple as there are just a couple bolts to unscrew i believe. i've had to take mine off a couple different times.

Well, I did it.
I DID have to lift the rear of the fender to roll the tire out from under it.
The fender is held on with the two brackets for the passenger seat.
I didn't remove the saddle bag brackets.
I didn't remove the backrest from the fender brackets - I put masking tape on the fender and carefully lifted it all together.
I didn't disconnect the wires for the tail / turn lights.
I also didn't remove the muffler (the Clymers says to).
