Cobra Slip-on Mod

I own a 2014 950Tourer with a cobra slip-on exhaust.

I read a post recently about how to mod a cobra slip-on to reduce the volume and lower the pitch.
I did it and it worked like a champ!

The mod involves a part made for Harleys. I got it on eBay (actually got two) for $11.57.

It's listed as:
4" X 2" ** OD LOUVERED CORE EXHAUST BAFFLES PAIR HARLEY BIG TWIN & SPORTSTER

I had to cut about 1/4 inch off of the fat end so it would fit, and I had to drill a hole in the Cobra baffle, but it was pretty easy.

The bike sounds much better; it's a little quieter and has a much deeper sound.

The only regret I have is that I didn't get pictures or video.

Sounds (get the pun) like made a good mod. There's been several people here wanting to tone down their exhaust and seems you have a good solution.

Thanks for sharing this. My wife’s 950 has the cobra slip-on. If it gets to annoying I now know what to do!
