anyone else learn to ride on a rebel? look how they've improved for 2017, now in 500cc and 300cc options.

Took my test on my new 1985 250. Great bike to start on but a little hairy on windy days. Looks a little meaner in 2017. I like it.

it looks nice but the riding position and tank says bobber more than cruiser to me

I like the look. It does have almost a similar look/feel to the Bolt. - (Dare I say, I might even like this styling better). They should make it in a 900. :-) -- Hmm, maybe I should recommend the 500 for my girl friend who may want to get into riding.

Not to take away from the Rebel, but My wife has the CTX700 and that is a fun as hell bike for a good price.
