Road Rage on 78 Freeway east bound in Oceanside yesterday

Just a regular commute home and traffic is always slow in this spot due to the loss of a lane. When it slowed a lot up ahead I figured it was an accident and could see a man out of his car. Then I saw the Ford Escape, go up on 2 wheels and tip over. You can even hear the little SUV hitting the ground in my video. Here is the video that made the news: https://streamable.com/zeep3
It has some bad language. I passed everything and not knowing what happened followed the BMW to see if he was going to flee the scene. From the linked video you can see the BMW guy spits on the Escape guy which prompts the escape guy to try and run him over and then ram his car.... I hear they were both arrested, which sounds about right. Bother drivers should lose their License and have to ride the Bus for a year or two.

The person that recorded the video is obviously a foul mouthed commoner with zero class.
But yeah, that was unacceptable behavior with those buffoons.
Looks like California highways do not get better with age.
Do you lane filter with your bike?

crappy cell phone video, but looked to me like the suv driver was trying to pull around and pass the convertible, not run the guy over.

The first video was pulled down the owner claiming copyright. I am sure he sold it to someone already.

It made national news. The spitter is being charged with misdemeanor assault and the driver who flipped the SUV is being charged with felony assault.

I hope they both lose the privilege to drive automobiles for a few years.
